OUR MAIN MISSION FIELD
Our first and most important mission field is our home city of Thunder Bay, Ontario. We believe that each member of our congregation is in our city for a reason. We believe that God has a good plan for Thunder Bay and that the local church plays an important part in that good plan. We encourage the people who call Saalem home to see their workplace and their neighborhood as their main mission field.

GLOBAL MISSIONS

Short Term Missions and Campaign Evangelism
Our Senior Pastor Marko Selkomaa travels frequently on short term missions trips to conduct campaigns and crusades. Lately Pastor Marko has visited Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Finland. For a taste of Pastor Selkomaas missons trip to Honduras, see video below:

Career Missionaries
Saalem Church is supporting Hannu and Milla Happonen as career missionaries to Uganda through FIDA.
Hannu is involved with HIV and AIDS work as well as multiple speaking engagements. Milla Happonen is the founder of Caring Hands, an organization that empowers native African women by creating job opportunities for them.
