Taking Advantage of “Minutes”
This week I just have a quick though to share- that is to take advantage of “minutes.”
We can over complicate things in our lives sometimes. Often if we want to do something we just see that end result and fail to recognize the “how to” or the steps to get to what we’re trying to do. For example, to become a competent guitar player, you can’t play for 12 hours one day and be amazing. It takes steady, consistent practice, DAILY! Or say you wanted to write a book. You see the end result, but most often you won’t write an entire book in one day. It takes a little bit each day to get to the end result.
Similarly, we can apply this principle to living a life of worship and praise to God. We tend to think ‘I need to spend ________ hours to be effective in my worship to God. No! This is not true. Your Father in Heaven knows that we have very fully abundant lives that He has predestined us to live- though He loves it when we spend hours with Him too! So what can we do about it? We can take advantage of the “minutes” in our day. Whether it is driving to work, lending something you own even if it’s an inconvenience to you, walking to the store. All of these things are praise to worship to God done out of the right heart attitude. Take those small things, or the small amounts of time in your day to turn your attention to Him. Thank Him, praise Him, worship Him throughout your day. Take advantage of “minutes.”
